Well it is icing outside right now. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and supposedly it will be a winter wonderland of ice. Oh, whoop-de-doo!
I have been working on my 2012 story and finally think I have a handle on it. I've decided to do it as a timed diary type book with time/date/location so the reader knows the sequence of events.
Originally I started it on December 1 but decided to start on December 12 and work my way to December 20. Much tighter action now.
By rearranging the date/time stamps for proper sequencing, the story is actually coming along quite nicely under the rewrite. The original story was 54k. So far, with six chapters I am over 11k. I think the novel will top out around 65k -- cool!!
